And another thing I have noticed in my Travels through Distros. Streamtuner in Ubuntu is so broken as to mostly useless. While in AntiX it runs like a champ.

I particularly like one of our members signatures n a forum I belong to, ( won't mention his name) Which states, "
Remember, Ubuntu is A Linux distribution, not THE Linux distribution."

Some how I screwed up my clickable links in below post. It happens with this small keyboard and my big hands from time to time.Sorry. One Link is for Browser Puppy Linux. The other is For Puppy Linux 4.12.

Been doing some testing with Pendrive Installs on My Asus Netbook. One thing I have noticed is how scattered modules can be even when it comes to using a Distro from the same Release Name. For Example. I installed Browser Puppy Linux which picked up my Atheros 5007 wireless Chipset. But Puppy 4.2 wouldn't even see the chip/wireless card or even list a ath0 interface. Like it was invisible. Puppy 4.2 works excellent on my Wireless IBM Desktop with a raylink chip/wireless card though as well as Mint and others. No uniformity in Kernels even in Different Versions of the Same Distro. Let alone Different Distros.

Have you ever tried Ubuntu source repositories.
You may need enable those from Synaptic or Manually editing /etc/apt/sources.list file

What the members can do as of now...

1. the success of this group largely depends on end-user participation. hence get as many linux enthusiasts to join as possible.(colleagues,friends...)
2. post your doubts(however, the replies may come a bit slow as the group is only a few hours old... :-) )

those are our primary targets as of now...
Thank You..

@ Harry :-

i understand your concern. it is hard to invest a lot of money in places on something you feel insecure about.

i won`t be able to help you here, as i lack the necessary expertise as of now, but lets hope that this group helps you find developers who are interested in what you have proposed.

I got a suggestion. When are developers gonna start getting into writing software that will interact with fuel injection modules and electronic ignition modules like THESE guys do. And I don't wanna to hear about WINE because it is to expensive to try if it fails to work. I would rather use Windows than blow a few hundred dollars on experimenting. This is a high dollar market being ignored by the Linux community and is locked in by Windows Operating System. I have suggested it in Ubuntu Brainstorm, but feel this is a low priority thing for developers. It is a sore point for me.
